My Role as an MLD Therapist
I am a specialist Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapist. I trained in the Vodder Technique and advanced practical and theoretical studies enable me to treat and support people with Lymphoedema (primary, secondary, venous insufficiency, etc) and Lipoedema. My training also included Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy (DLT) bandaging and compression. I undertake a comprehensive consultation with each new client, to understand the presentation, complexity, issues, concerns, and their journey to date. This allows us to build a treatment plan that is as unique as you are.
MLD is also beneficial for pre & post operative surgery, and cosmetic procedures. As well as a range of other health conditions and concerns, and for detox and wellbeing.
Examples: Post cancer & cancer care. Neurological concerns, e.g. stroke. Fractures, torn ligaments, sprains. Hip, knee, shoulder replacement. Chronic conditions, e.g. sinusitis, arthritis, acne, MS, Fibromyalgia, eczema, IBS, and bloating. Wounds, burns, ulcers. Detox and strengthen immunity, e.g. post Covid or virus. Cosmetic surgery, to accelerate healing, reduce swelling and bruising and improve scar appearance. Pregnancy, e.g. swollen legs, ankles. Migraines. Stress and tension. Tired / puffy eyes, dark circles. Scarring & Stretch marks. Relaxation. Bruising & haematoma through injury. Pain relief & nerve sensitivity.
